We wanted to take the complex problem of poverty, and our multifaceted (and often complicated) programmatic work, and distill it all down to a simple, engaging, easy-to-digest message — Here’s the problem, here’s all of the ways we’re solving it, and here’s how you can help.
Working with Armory Pacific, we developed the script, then storyboarded, and finally shot the entire video over one week in the Bay Area.

Pharmaceutical development is usually complicated and rarely fun.
Designed to be used as a traditional 30 second promo video, and as a video loop at Life Science trade shows, we elected to write out the entire script and animate simple, lighthearted shapes which help communicate and reinforce the text. Clean, simple, and fun :)

The conference organizers wanted to convey the artistic and ephemeral quality of this year's event. "We will enlighten people, inspire people, and it will last for two days... and then be gone."
We created the music, shot the footage, and post-produced this spot in Death Valley, California.

Animated Show Open and complete graphics package for the 2004 Emmy Awards. (NATAS California Chapter)
NATAS was celebrating their 50th anniversary, and they requested a graphics package that was both modern and retro, and which celebrated the rich history of broadcast television.

A new social platform for a healthy community of food-lovers needed an introduction video, and a way to get people with dietary restrictions curious enough to sign up. We produced the music, shot the footage, and post-produced the entire spot over the course of a week in Malibu, California.

Animated Show Open and complete graphics package for the 2005 San Francisco 49ers postgame show. With Powerade sponsoring the new Playbook season, we were asked to produce something that was bold, exciting, and that showed off the new sponsor.
KTVU 2 News
/ Hurricane Rita
Animated package for the KTVU 2 NEWS. Just after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Hurricane Rita, the fourth-most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded, was about to make landfall. The news producer requested something that was impactful, but Katrina being so recent, he also wanted it to be respectful and not sensationalized.

Animated promotional campaign for Action 36. Action 36, known for broadcasting classic sitcoms wanted something fun and light-hearted.
SF Giants
/ Back to the Basics
Animated Show Open and complete graphics package for the 2006 San Francisco Giants opening day special. During the offseason the Giants had retooled their roster, and emphasized a shift away from modern team-building trends to a more old-school, fundamental approach to baseball. We decided to do the same. Using numerous projectors, a studio full of hanging plexiglass, and a cameraman on a dolly, we created virtually the entire open without the aid of computer graphics.
